Managing opportunity information

When you can edit

The core details of an opportunity — title, summary, description, sector, investment type, location, strategic objectives, estimated value, priority, and expected close date — can only be edited while the opportunity is in Draft. This keeps the record stable and trustworthy once it has entered formal review.

Change history

Every edit made while in Draft is captured as a snapshot before the change is applied, preserving a full history of how the opportunity's information evolved even though only the current version is shown by default.

Documents

  • Upload supporting documents against the opportunity at any stage, tagging each one with a document type and, where relevant, a version label.
  • Download any document through a secure, time-limited link rather than a permanent public URL.
  • Remove a document if it was uploaded in error; removal is recorded rather than silently erasing the file.

Keeping documents current and well-labeled makes review, approval, and later audits significantly faster for everyone involved.
