Delivery Partner responsibilities and milestones

The milestone lifecycle

  1. Pending — the milestone has been defined but work has not yet started or been reported.
  2. In progress — work is underway.
  3. Submitted — you have reported the milestone as complete, with any supporting evidence.
  4. Verified — the government's Monitoring Officer has reviewed and confirmed the milestone.

Reporting progress

As you complete a milestone, submit it with the relevant evidence so the Monitoring Officer can review and verify it. Clear, timely reporting keeps the project's overall progress visible to everyone with a stake in it, including funding decisions that may depend on verified milestones.

How this connects to funding

Verified milestones often relate directly to when funding is disbursed against the project. See "Understanding funding and financial progress" for how funding requests, commitments, and disbursements are tracked on the government side.
